Tiger King 2 is confirmed by Netflix as fans left divided

There will be a second series of Tiger King, it has been confirmed.

This morning Netflix announced the popular documentary will be returning, after months of speculation.

The company confirmed on Twitter that the series will air later this year.

Netflix tweeted today: "Tiger King is coming back this year — and Season 2 promises just as much mayhem and madness as Season 1!"

The show's synopsis reads: “The global hit Tiger King, which attracted 64 million households in the first four weeks after its March 2020 premiere, will return to Netflix for more madness and mayhem.”

There is no specific date when it will drop but Netflix did tease fans with an image of Joe 'Exotic' Schreibvoge with a huge smile on his face as he makes a call in prison.

Series one documented the feud between big cat enthusiasts Joe 'Exotic' and Carole Baskin.

And while fans of the show have expressed their excitement for the new series, others have questioned how it will work with Joe 'Exotic' in prison.

One Twitter user said: "The first season brought us up to now, he’s in jail. That’s kinda it."

But another fan of the show replied: "Apparently there’s much more to the story now, even if he’s in jail there’s darker stuff still to be revealed that they have discovered."

And there's another big question Tiger King fans want answered.

“Did Carole Baskin kill her husband???? I want that answer in season 2!"

Someone else wrote: "I don't think Tiger King 2 is something that needed to be made. I'm also going to watch every second of it."
