A tiger cub was tragically crushed to death in Dublin Zoo by its own mother.
The tiger cub was only born minutes before its mother accidentally rolled over her baby and killing it.
The latest episode of RTÉ’s The Zoo show the devastating moment when the baby tiger was trampled only moments after its mother had given birth to it.

The zookeepers Ciaran McMahon and Julie Bevins were sadly unable to intervene with the incident as it was too dangerous for the mother and any other cubs she was yet to birth.
Ciaran said: “For us to step in at this stage would be futile for her well-being and for the cubs that are still inside her.

“So we just let the natural process take place now.
"Maybe for the second cub things will be different – and maybe a third cub, we don’t know, but we certainly won’t interfere at this stage.”
The mother, Tundra, who is a Amur tiger gave birth to two more cubs which the Zoo have said they waited 20 years for.
