Tiffany Haddish recently shared that she has been sober for over two months, abstaining from alcohol and marijuana. The actress-comedian made this revelation during a podcast interview, where she mentioned that she has refrained from drinking or smoking for approximately 72 days. Haddish expressed that maintaining sobriety has not been particularly challenging for her, as these substances were not her primary focus.

During the conversation, Haddish disclosed that her main struggles now revolve around maintaining a healthy diet, particularly in terms of meat consumption and resisting the temptation of candy. This shift towards sobriety comes after a recent incident in November 2023 when she was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after falling asleep at the wheel in Beverly Hills. This was her second DUI-related arrest, with a previous incident occurring in Georgia in January 2022.

Although the DUI charges from the November incident were ultimately dismissed, Haddish did plead no contest to a vehicle code violation. When asked about her decision to stop consuming alcohol and marijuana, she cited legal obligations as a motivating factor, indicating that it was a court-mandated requirement. Haddish also mentioned that she had previously used marijuana to manage the pain associated with her endometriosis.

Reflecting on the events leading up to her second arrest, Haddish explained that a busy Thanksgiving schedule, which included performances at The Laugh Factory and attending a concert, left her exhausted. She acknowledged the need for assistance in finding a balance and setting boundaries to prevent similar incidents in the future. Despite her initial intention to contest the charges from November, Haddish ultimately prioritized her health and well-being over legal battles.
