Most of England is expected to face tough coronavirus restrictions when the new tier arrangements are set out, with bans on households mixing indoors and curbs on pubs and restaurants.
The new tiers will take effect at 12.01am on Wednesday December 2, at the same time as England’s national lockdown ends.
The tier placements will then be reviewed on December 16.

The entire Liverpool City Region has avoided the harshest level of new government restrictions and will be placed into the new Tier 2 next week.
The city region - which includes Liverpool, Wirral, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and Halton - will all enter the second level of 'High Risk' measures from next Wednesday onward.
As part of the announcement, the Government launched an interactive widget for people to see what tier their area has been placed in.
Simply enter your postcode into the interactive widget and it will provide you with local and national information relating to coronavirus.
The widget will provide detailed information regarding which tier your area has been placed in.

By entering your postcode on the Government website, Brits will be able to determine which tier they will be in.
It's worth noting there could be a delay as the postcode checker appears to have crashed shortly after it went live.
It initially showed that Kent would be in the toughest Tier 3, but people checking later were faced with the message: "Sorry, we're experiencing technical difficulties."
