Tiemoue Bakayoko 'looking for stability' as midfielder returns to Chelsea from AC Milan

Tiemoue Bakayoko wants stability and has therefore decided to return to Chelsea to fight for a starting spot at Stamford Bridge next season, his brother and agent has confirmed.

Bakayoko spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan with AC Milan after a difficult debut season at Chelsea and, despite a tricky start to life at the San Siro, the midfielder went on to become a key member of the Italian side.

But with his loan spell at Milan - who did not qualify for next season's Champions League - over, Bakayoko has now decided to return to London and play in Europe's premier competition at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to French newspaper L'Equipe, the 24-year-old's brother and agent Abdoulaye said: "There are some pretty interested clubs, quite big clubs that have enquired but we give priority to Chelsea.

"We already know there is the Champions League [at Chelsea] and we are looking for stability.

"Tiemoue has decided to stay there."
