Chelsea's loan numbers might have to be cut over the next few seasons due to FIFA regulations, but for now they have plenty away from Stamford Bridge.
The Blues currently have 28 players plying their trade elsewhere, either looking for regular football or trying to force their way back into Frank Lampard's thinking for next season.
There are always always ups and downs for the players out on loan, with some not getting their chances to really shine.
Here are some of the bigger stories from the weekend of action.
The big stories
Victor Moses
Antonio Conte became the boss of Inter Milan in the summer and they are on a quest to take the Serie A title away from the grasp of Maurizio Sarri's Juventus.
To do that, the Italian has called upon several former Premier League stars, including Romelu Lukaku, Ashley Young, Christian Eriksen and now Victor Moses.
The Nigerian was recalled from his loan at Fenerbahce and made his debut for the Italian club as a substitute in the Coppa Italia during the week.
Moses then made his first start for Conte's side at the weekend, at right wing-back, with Lukaku netting a brace in a 2-0 win over Udinese.
Baba Rahman
Injuries have plagued Baba Rahman's career and he is set for another long spell on the sidelines after it was reported that he needed knee surgery.
The 25-year-old is currently on loan with Mallorca, but has only featured in two La Liga matches, his last coming in September.
The left-back is not set to miss the rest of the season with another knee surgery, and his career takes another bad and unfortunate turn.
Tiemoue Bakayoko
The question remains over the Chelsea future of Tiemoue Bakayoko as he spends another season out on loan, this time with his former club Monaco.
The 25-year-old failed to impress during his season at the Blues under Antonio Conte, and just 32 minutes into Saturday's match with Nimes he was sent off.
Monaco went on to lose the game 3-1 and the Frenchman will spend some time on the sidelines.
Other notable mentions
Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi
Conor Gallagher played a big part in Swansea City's goal during their 1-1 draw with Preston North End, while Marc Guehi got another 90 minutes in the fixture.
Lucas Piazon
It was an unhappy evening for Lucas Piazon as the forward was taken off at half-time in Rio Ave's 2-2 draw with Famalicao.
Ethan Ampadu
It has been a bitterly disappointing loan spell for Ethan Ampadu so far at RB Leipzig, with just two substitute Bundesliga appearances for the German side.
Once again at the weekend, the Wales international was an unused substitute as the second-placed side drew 2-2 with Borussia Monchengladbach.
