'Ticking them off' Leeds United fans react as they go back top following Huddersfield Town victory

Leeds United are back on top of the Championship after a 2-0 win over Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield - and fans are getting giddy about an imminent return to the Premier League.

A stunning third-minute volley from Luke Ayling put Marcelo Bielsa's men on their way, with Patrick Bamford adding a second after the break to end his personal goal drought.

With West Bromwich Albion being held at Swansea, it meant Leeds are now back on top of the table with just nine games of the Championship season remaining.

Leeds fans remain hugely optimistic that this team can finally end the club's long absence from the top flight - and plenty have taken to social media to praise the players and striker Bamford in particular.

Here's a look at what fans have been saying on social media.

Next up for Bielsa's side is a trip to Cardiff City next Sunday.
