Fans eager to witness Cristiano Ronaldo, the prolific Portuguese forward, train with his national team ahead of the Euro 2024 tournament in Westphalia, Germany, will have to pay a hefty price. Tickets for the open training session on Friday are being sold for up to 800 euros ($858.32).
Ronaldo, who has scored an impressive 128 goals in 204 official matches for Portugal, is set to participate in his sixth European Championship.
The veteran striker, now playing in Saudi Arabia since his transfer in 2023, has a rich history in the tournament, having reached the final in his debut appearance in 2004 and leading his team to victory in 2016.
The initial 6,000 complimentary tickets for the training session were quickly claimed within minutes of their release. Subsequently, some of these tickets have found their way onto the German kleinanzeigen small ads website, with prices ranging from 400 to 800 euros.
Portugal, drawn in Group F, will commence their Euro 2024 campaign against the Czech Republic on June 18. They will then face Turkey and Georgia in their remaining group stage matches.
