Ticketmaster Taylor Swift presale ticket emails going out today - what happens if you do or don't receive one

Taylor Swift presale codes are due to be sent out today (July 5), with masses of fans who registered last month on Ticketmaster eagerly checking their emails. The only way to receive a code is if fans signed up in advance for tickets on the Ticketmaster website before June 22.

However, this does not guarantee that fans will get an access code for purchase. Today, Ticketmaster will be emailing those who registered in advance to inform them whether they are able to buy tickets or not.

The email won't contain the special access code, as that will be sent separately - which cannot be shared. A Ticketmaster spokesperson said: "If you are selected to receive an access code, you will receive an email the afternoon before the ticket sales begin. This email will include timing details and a link to where the on-sale will occur, and your unique, non-transferrable access code."

It is important to note that Ticketmaster has announced access for the popstar's 2024 UK Eras tour tickets will be handed out on a first come, first served basis, "while currently available inventory lasts". Meaning those who registered in advance still might not end up getting an on-sale code.

Fans are being urged to stay patient as it’s expected that a huge number of fans will be waiting for an email. For those who are fortunate enough to have gotten an email, they will go on to be sent a unique, non-transferable access code - as well as timing details and a link to where the on-sale will take place.

Should you not receive an email, you will be placed on a waiting list until a later date until further tickets become available. A spokesperson added: "We expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available, meaning only a limited number of fans will gain access to the sale.

"The system will then work on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are not initially selected, don’t worry! Fans not selected at first will be placed on a waitlist and may receive an invitation to join the sale if further tickets become available."

Swifties will only be able to buy a maximum of four tickets once through to checkout. The tour's ticket sale registration has been put in place in a bid to filter out buyers looking to resell tickets and ensure genuine fans have access to the show.

Fans who bought Swift's Midnights album between August 29, 2022 and October 27, 2022 will be able to get tickets early from Monday for the UK dates. Following the presale, fans will be able to purchase remaining tickets in the general sale. These will take place across a number of dates in July.

When tickets go on sale, fans should:

  • Click the link you were sent at the appropriate time.
  • Enter your unique access code. Should you receive an error, double-check you entered the access code as it appears in the email you received.
  • Due to demand, after entering your access code, you may experience a longer than usual wait time. Do not refresh the page during this time.
  • When completing your ticket purchase, stay within one browser window.
  • Opening multiple windows or tabs to purchase tickets, may result in errors.
  • You may not exceed the ticket limit of four (4).
  • For a faster checkout, make sure your billing address and credit card information is up to date prior to the on-sale.
