Ticket boost for Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock fans as Premier Sports Cup semi final prices revealed

The SPFL has announced ticket prices for the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals at Hampden Park in January with just a minimal rise on the cheapest ticket after last season’s freeze on briefs for the last four ties. The vast majority of adult tickets will cost between £28 and £33 for the matches between holders Celtic and Kilmarnock at tea time on Saturday, January 14 followed by Aberdeen’s clash with Rangers 24 hours later.

Under-16s and over-65s will pay just £12 for the matches, to be shown exclusively lively by the tournament sponsor Premier Sports, which will determine who goes through to the final at the end of February. Following a season without fans, the SPFL froze semi-final ticket prices for fans returning last season with tickets costing between £25 and £35 for adults - the same as they had been for the 2019/20 season so the cheapest ticket is just a £3 rise.

Celtic fans will be split across the South, North, East and West Stands for the 5.30pm kick off on 14 January, while Kilmarnock supporters will be in sections of the South and West Stands. Rangers supporters will be split across the South, North and West Stands for the 3pm kick-off on 15 January, while Aberdeen fans will be based in the South, and East Stands.

SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster said: “This season’s Premier Sports Cup semi-finals promise to be two hugely exciting matches. The Premier Sports Cup continues to be a real success story as a competition and supporters at home will be able to tune in to watch the semi-finals live on Premier Sports. We are all looking forward to both games and would like to wish the four remaining clubs the very best of luck.”
