Thursday's recap: Dodgers 6, White Sox 1

March 06--The summary

Sox left-hander John Danks made his first start of the spring, allowing one run on two hits in 6-1 loss to the Dodgers. He threw 32 pitches, 21 for strikes.Sox outfield prospect Courtney Hawkins hit a ninth-inning homer for the only Sox run.

At the plate

Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw shut the Sox down in the first two innings, and they managed just five hits after that.

On the mound

New Sox reliever Dan Jennings threw 11/3 scoreless, hitless innings and Jake Petricka and Javy Guerra also contributed one scoreless inning apiece.

In the field

Sox shortstop prospect Tim Anderson committed two errors while subbing for starter Alexei Ramirez but he helped turn a double play.
