Thursday’s injury report for Chargers ahead of matchup vs. Lions

The Chargers had a handful of notable players on Wednesday’s injury report. A day later, it was a tad bit better but there are still some key players that are questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Lions.

Here’s a look at today’s report:

Cornerback Michael Davis (hamstring), tight end Hunter Henry and wide receiver Mike Williams (knee) did not participate in practice on Thursday.

It’s almost certain that we will not see Davis or Henry this weekend, and most likely for a few more weeks as they continue to recover from their perspective injuries.

As for Williams, this is the second consecutive day that he has not practiced. His status for Week 2 is not looking too promising.

If Williams is unable to go, Travis Benjamin and Dontrelle Inman will have their roles expanded. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Andre Patton or newly acquired Anthony Johnson get a call up to the active roster.

Defensive end Isaac Rochell (concussion) and safety Roderic Teamer (hamstring) were limited participants today after missing yesterday’s practice.

Here’s the full injury report for the Lions:

Detroit appears to be going into Sunday’s contest relatively healthy.

Starting middle linebacker Jarrad Davis (ankle) missed the regular season opener, but things are looking up for him to play this weekend.
