Murdered teenager Justin McLaughlin was facing knife charges after a teenage boy was ‘slashed’ in an ‘unprovoked attack’.

The 14-year-old appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court on October 7 - just nine days before he was fatally injured during an incident at High Street station in Glasgow.

The teen was charged with an offence of “serious or violent nature” before being released on bail, legal documents state.

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after cops raced to reports of a serious assault on a Scots street.

Emergency services raced to Farmeloan Road, Rutherglen, around 12.05am on Thursday October 21 to reports of an alleged attack.

The 51-year-old was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow as his condition is currently described as critical.

The 65-year-old presenter spoke to a victim and her mother with the teen explaining to ITV viewers how she doesn't remember what had happened.

Richard went on to challenge her as to whether she had made an effort to keep her drink safe as she was "aware" of the risk.
