Thursday's Detroit Tigers-Cleveland Indians game postponed due to rain

DETROIT _ Thursday's Detroit Tigers-Cleveland Indians game at Comerica Park has been postponed due to inclement weather.

With rain slated to fall throughout the day, the Tigers made the official announcement at 9:24 a.m. local time.

The game will be rescheduled at a later date. All paid tickets for Thursday's game will be honored for the makeup date. No ticket exchange is necessary.

The Tigers did not open the clubhouse for interviews.

Right-handed pitcher Michael Fulmer will make his sixth start of the season against the Athletics at 10:05 p.m. Friday in Oakland. He's 2-1 with a 3.19 ERA.

Right-handed pitcher Jordan Zimmermann, originally slated to pitch Friday, will start on Saturday instead. Lefty Daniel Norris will pitch on Sunday.
