Question Time Election Leaders Special
8pm, BBC1
In this epic election edition, David Dimbleby chairs a session in Leeds where David Cameron, Ed Miliband and Nick Clegg will each individually field half an hour’s questions from the people they fear most: actual members of the public. Later, there are regional variations. In Scotland, there will be a programme with SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon, in Wales with Plaid Cymru’s Leanne Wood, while for viewers after the watershed, Nigel Farage faces questions from the people of Birmingham. The Game
9pm, BBC2
We first meet Joe Lambe as the KGB murder his girlfriend by a Polish lake in 1971. A year later we meet him again in London, working as an MI5 agent but still haunted by his past. The Soviet threat looms large and the KGB is activating sleeper agents all over Britain to put into effect the mysterious Operation Glass, but what is it? And who is the guy leaving apple peel everywhere? It’s thrillingly atmospheric, and beautifully acted by Paul Ritter, Brian Cox, Victoria Hamilton and Tom Hughes. Game on. Julia Raeside
Fraud Squad
9pm, ITV
The return of the documentary series that accompanies the City of London police as they investigate the criminal fraud business, which is estimated to cost UK taxpayers £50bn a year. Tonight’s opening film looks at how organised gangs are buying up cheap land, either contaminated or on flood zones, cold-calling gullible punters and falsely convincing them that it can be sold on to property developers for a profit. Some may not weep too hard for victims of such a scam but the villains must be stopped nonetheless. David Stubbs
W1A
10pm, BBC2
For all W1A is, rather inevitably, sometimes too self-referential, there’s still much fun to be had from the way the Auntie management-spoofing mockumentary nibbles at the hand that feeds. Tonight’s highlights include the revelation Tony Hall is obsessed with pilates, and the notion Newsnight’s Evan Davis might be “embedded” with Strictly Come Dancing rather than merely being a contestant. David Tennant’s voiceover provides many of the best moments: “Ian has made an executive decision to be late for a meeting for once.” Jonathan Wright
The Mentalist: The Last Ever Episode
10pm, Channel 5
After seven seasons, Simon Baker’s reformed con man Patrick Jane is winding things up for good in an action-packed, double-bill series finale. Following the stacking of bodies last week, he’s now on the trail of his very last psycho killer, a chap going by the ominous nom de plume Lazarus. Patrick is used as bait, posing as a renowned psychic on TV in order to draw out their man. If anything, it all works a bit too well, putting Patrick in not a little mortal peril. Ben Arnold
Suits
10pm, Dave
Season four of Suits concludes, with SEC investigator Cahill coming to Harvey asking for help in building a case linking the corrupt Eric Woodall – Cahill’s boss – to the also corrupt Charles Forstman (serial bad guy Eric Roberts). It must be someone close to Woodall who is benefiting from Forstman’s cash. But Harvey must confront his own past when it emerges that Forstman made a dodgy deal with Harvey’s brother, and soon blackmail is on the cards. Elsewhere, Harvey’s lack of commitment with Donna brings matters to a tumultuous head. BA
Treme
11pm, Sky Atlantic
Jazz courses through David Simon’s excellent drama centred on New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina – the soundtrack to a corner of America that refuses to be washed away despite the criminal indifference of the powers that be. Tonight, however, Antoine learns that his music class may have to be cancelled and Annie dumps her band, while Albert, close to death, tells Delmond he must assume the mantle of Big Chief after he is gone. Elsewhere, Toni makes a breakthrough in her case. DS
