Thursday Night Football: Why the Ravens and Cowboys aren’t playing on ‘TNF’ in Week 13

It was supposed to be the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys facing off in the Week 13 edition of Thursday Night Football, a matchup that would feature Lamar Jackson facing a Cowboys defense he could run all over.

But if you’re turning on your television to FOX and find there’s no NFL football on, you’re probably wondering why that’s the case.

Here’s the answer: The Ravens just played on Wednesday in a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, a game that was moved from Thanksgiving due to a COVID-19 outbreak on Baltimore’s team. So the NFL moved the TNF game to Tuesday night so that the Ravens didn’t have to play two games on a pair of consecutive nights.

The good news: you’ll get football on Sunday, Monday (double-header!) AND Tuesday this coming week!
