Thursday injury report: Jags upgrade 3 to full participation

The Jacksonville Jaguars didn’t have many upgrades to their injury report Thursday as most of their key players remained limited. However, running back Dare Ogunbowale (hand) and safety Brandon Rusnak (ribs/quad) were the two notables to move from limited participation to full participation.

Everyone else who saw a change in status either had a scheduled day off or returned from one, including tight end Tyler Eifert, who was a full participant.

The notables who were limited on offense included receivers D.J. Chark and Chris Conley and starting right tackle, Jawaan Taylor. The statuses of both Chark and Conley are interesting because both missed Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns as quarterback Mike Glennon got his first start with the Jags. With Glennon remaining the starter for the second straight week, having Chark and Conley could be huge and their two consecutive days of limited practices could mean they will return this Sunday against Minnesota.

On defense, the notable player to surface with an injury-related status was cornerback Sidney Jones IV (Achilles), who was also limited for his second consecutive day. He’s missed the Jags’ last two games with his injury and hadn’t been practicing in the process. However, he returned to the field Wednesday as a limited participant and could finally be left off the final report or at the least surface as questionable.

Another notable defender who was on Thursday’s report was defensive tackle Davon Hamilton (knee), who received good news this week after being carted out of Week 12’s game against the Browns. According to coach Doug Marrone, Hamilton’s injury isn’t long-term, but he could end up going on injured reserve as he recovers.
