Man dies after lorry falls off flyover and onto M90 in horror crash

A 55-year-old man has died after a lorry fell from a flyover on the M90 this morning.

The man had been driving a lorry southbound when it collided off the slipway. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Images showed an upturned HGV on the grass near the busy carriageway.

COP26: Hundreds of protestors take to the streets of Govan to rally against military climate change profits

Hundreds of protestors in an Extinction Rebellion rallied in Govan today against military companies profiting from climate change.

The protest started outside a Home Office immigration faculty in Glasgow.

Demonstrators gathered to show solidarity with refugees displaced by war and climate change.

Two wide-scale protests tomorrow and Saturday in Glasgow are planned as nearly 60,000 people are expected to rally in marches across the city.

Scots woman left horrified after Instagram date threatens to rape her in sick message

Becca McFarlane from Dunfermline was sent sickening messages after a man she agreed to have a drink with said her outfit made him want to sexually assault her.

The 27-year-old woman was left in tears after the exchange on Instagram.

Becca told the Daily Record: “It made me burst out crying and I was incredibly anxious for the rest of the day."

DWP benefit claimants could be due £1,500 back pay in legal case over £20 uplift this month

A court hearing later this month will determine if people on legacy benefits are due back payments.

Claimants could be owed money if the UK Government loses the legal case to be heard on whether it was fair to exclude people on legacy benefits from extra Covid support.
