Thunder will dress Chesapeake Energy Arena in ‘Sunset’ for Game 3

As the Oklahoma City Thunder are set to host Game 3 Friday night against the Portland Trail Blazers, we now know how Chesapeake Energy Arena will look.

The Thunder have placed orange shirts on every seat in the arena for a ‘Sunset’ look. To go with their ‘Sunset’ shirts, the team will be donning their teal ‘City’ Edition uniforms.

The Thunder originally wore the ‘Sunset’ color as an alternate jersey for two seasons before bringing back the look this season. The team used the colorway as the fifth uniform the NBA gave the 16 playoff teams from last year, titled the ‘Earned’ Edition.

Our friends at OKCTracker pointed out on Twitter the Thunder are 4-5 this season in the ‘City’ jerseys, including a 4-4 record at home. The team most recently wore those jerseys on March 29 against Denver.

With the Thunder facing a 2-0 series deficit, the team will be hoping that playing behind the home crowd can help spark Russell Westbrook & Co. to a win against Portland.

The Thunder are favored by 7.5 points on Friday.
