Thunder to reportedly sign forward Richard Solomon to 10-day contract

The Thunder will reportedly sign Oklahoma City Blue forward Richard Solomon to a 10-day contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Solomon is averaging 13.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 steals in 31 games played this season for the Blue while the 6-foot-8 forward is shooting 59.8 percent from the field.

Solomon played for the Blue during the 2014-15 season and then spent the next four seasons playing overseas prior to signing a training camp deal with the Thunder last summer.

After the release of Alex Abrines on Saturday, the Thunder had three open roster spots available and were likely looking to sign a player or two rather quickly.

The apparent signing of Solomon comes just one game before the All-Star break so the team likely wanted to add some extra depth after Jerami Grant (ankle) and Dennis Schroder (personal) did not play Monday.
