Thunder sign guard Justin Robinson to second 10-day contract

The Oklahoma City Thunder signed guard Justin Robinson to a second 10-day contract, the team announced on Thursday.

Over the span of the first contract Robinson had with OKC, the guard averaged 3.5 points, 1.3 assists and 1.0 rebound in 12.1 minutes over six appearances.

Those stats are slightly lower due to the game against the Philadelphia 76ers (about 5 1/2 minutes of play time) and Utah Jazz (about 2 minutes of play time). Removing those from the equation, Robinson averaged 5.0 points, 2.0 assists and 1.5 rebounds in about 16 minutes per game.

Robinson, 23, is in his second year in the pros. He appeared in nine games for the Washington Wizards last season, where he averaged 1.4 points and 0.8 assists in 5.4 minutes per game.

He was a standout in the G League bubble this season, where he averaged 15.5 points, 5.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 40.5% from 3. The 6-foot-1 guard helped the Delaware Blue Coats get to the championship game, where they lost to the Lakeland Magic.

Robinson will have five games with the Thunder under this new 10-day deal. Oklahoma City has 17 games left this season.

The next is scheduled to be against the Detroit Pistons on Friday night beginning at 6 p.m.
