Thunder’s Andre Roberson sends well wishes to Cowboys’ Dak Prescott

Odds are, those who call Oklahoma City home keep a close eye on the Dallas Cowboys. One of three NFL teams located within reasonable proximity, the Cowboys — often referred to as “America’s team” — surely receive their fair amount of support, and on Sunday, come came from the Thunder’s Andre Roberson.

Dak Prescott, the team’s starting quarterback and one of the league’s more likable players, suffered a gruesome leg injury. With 6:33 remaining in the game’s third quarter, Prescott suffered a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle. He underwent surgery on Sunday night and will miss the remainder of the season.

Roberson is no stranger to devastating injuries. The guard made a triumphant return to the NBA after missing more than 900 days following a rupture of his quad tendon (as well as some additional setbacks).

Although not appearing as gruesome, Roberson had to endure and fight his way back to receiving game minutes — something Prescott will, unfortunately, have to do, as well.

“Prayers up!!! @dak Get well soon!!,” Roberson tweeted shortly after Prescott’s season ended.

The Cowboys would go on to defeat the New York Giants by a final score of 37-34, but the victory wasn’t enough to overcome the emotional loss felt by a great many who cheer for Prescott.

Obviously, Roberson is among them.
