To preface this article: Properly ranking approximately 400 NBA players is a task nigh-on impossible. How NBA 2K and other video games for other sports are able to dive into specific attributes of each player is astonishing. It’s clearly more than simply assigning a guy an 85 rating and being done with it. You need to grade individual aspects of scoring, defense, rebounding, intangibles, and everything else that goes into their game.
Yet every year, people complain about ratings. My favorite player isn’t rated high enough. Yours is too high. NBA 2K clearly hates my team.
