Thunder Live analyst Antonio Daniels says goodbye to OKC fans

In the heat of the build-up for 2019 NBA free agency, a report surfaced indicating the Oklahoma City Thunder broadcast would look a little different in 2019-20. Thunder fans had already lost Fox Sports reporter and host Lesley McCaslin and were about to lose “ThunderLive!” analyst Antonio Daniels to the New Orleans Pelicans broadcast.

The former Seattle Supersonic took to Twitter on Thursday to thank Thunder fans for their support:

I was truly blessed and honored to be a part of Thunder Live for the past 4 seasons. I can’t thank the OKC fan base enough for allowing me to be me and for your continued support and encouragement. The amount of love over the past few days has been overwhelming and appreciated.

After that, Daniels confirmed he was, in fact, leaving for New Orleans:

My time in OKC has come to an end. I am SO excited and looking forward to the next chapter in New Orleans as a member of their broadcast team.

After thanking his colleagues who cover Oklahoma City, he thanked the fans once more as part of his goodbye:
