Thunder have had a player make an All-NBA Team for 10 straight years

On Thursday, the NBA announced that Oklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George was named to the 2018-19 All-NBA First Team while Russell Westbrook was selected to the Third Team.

George was considered to be a near lock for the First Team while Westbrook was thought to be a wild card. However, the final voting results revealed that Westbrook made the Third Team with ease.

With George and Westbrook named to the 2018-19 All-NBA Teams, the Thunder have now had a player named to an All-NBA Team for 10 straight years — the longest current streak in the NBA.

George and Westbrook each made an All-NBA Team last year.

George averaged a career-high 28 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.2 steals this season. He was named to the All-Defensive First Team on Wednesday and is a finalist for MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.

Westbrook earned his eighth trip to the All-Star Game this season after averaging 22.9 points, 11.1 rebounds and 10.7 assists for his third straight season posting triple-double.

The duo led the Thunder to a 49-33 record and the sixth seed in the Western Conference. They were eliminated by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
