Thunder G League guard Abdul Gaddy added to Magic Summer League team

The NBA Summer League is right around the corner, and fans will be able to see their favorite team’s young prospects in NBA action.

The Orlando Magic released their summer league roster Tuesday on Twitter, and OKC Blue guard Abdul Gaddy will play for Orlando. The summer league will be in Las Vegas from July 5-15.

Gaddy started 48 games with the Blue last season. He averaged 9.5 points per game on 55.7 percent shooting, and he also averaged 7.4 assists per game. In the playoffs, Gaddy played two games and averaged 15.0 points a game, along with 5.5 assists per game.

The first three rounds of the G League playoffs are single elimination, and the Blue were eliminated in the second round of the G League playoffs. They lost to the Santa Cruz Warriors, the Golden State Warriors’ affiliate.

Along with Gaddy, former Blue center Tyler Davis will play for the Magic. Davis went undrafted in the 2018 NBA draft, and he started eight games in his first season with the Blue.

He averaged 17.2 points per game on 57 percent shooting, while also grabbing 11.5 rebounds a game. The Thunder released Davis in December 2018, and he was drafted by Brujos De Guayama in Puerto Rico during January.
