Thunder fans congratulate Serge Ibaka on NBA Finals win with Raptors

It probably wasn’t how he expected it to happen, but with the Toronto Raptors putting the Golden State Warriors away on Thursday with a 114-110 win in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, Serge Ibaka is finally an NBA champion.

This was Ibaka’s second shot in the NBA Finals, having made a run with the Oklahoma City Thunder back in 2012 alongside Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and James Harden. The young group lost the series to the Miami Heat in five games and was never able to put another run of that level together again.

Harden was sent to Houston to play for the Rockets in 2012-13. Ibaka was dealt to the Orlando Magic following 2015-16, then Durant left for the Warriors shortly after the trade.

Durant was the first to get a ring of the foursome. Now Ibaka has earned his — and it looks like Thunder fans are happy for him:
