Thunder could be without Jerami Grant, Dennis Schroder again Thursday

Thunder head coach Billy Donovan said Wednesday afternoon that he is not sure if Jerami Grant and Dennis Schroder will be available to play Thursday against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Grant did not play Monday night against the Portland Trail Blazers due to a sprained right ankle while Dennis Schroder was away from the team for the birth of his child.

While Donovan was not sure if Grant and Schroder will be available Thursday night, he did not completely rule them out on the road against the Pelicans, according to Maddie Lee of The Oklahoman.

Patrick Patterson earned the start in place of Grant while the Thunder used a combination of players to fill in for Schroder, including Raymond Felton and Deonte Burton.

Felton responded to playing for the first time since Dec. 30 by scoring a season-high 15 points while Burton recorded a career-high 18 minutes in 26 minutes off of the bench.

In order to deal with the potential loss of Grant and Schroder, the Thunder will reportedly sign forward Richard Solomon of the G League to a 10-day contract.

The Thunder have won 11 of 12 games and will likely be favored against the Pelicans as the organization deals with the fallout of the trade request by Anthony Davis.

The Pelicans are coming off of a 30-point home loss to the Orlando Magic Tuesday night as Davis recorded just three points.
