Thugs threaten staff with screwdriver before robbing shop in Lucan, west Dublin

A dangerous duo threatened staff with a screwdriver before robbing a shop in west Dublin on Tuesday night.

A woman and her male counterpart entered the Centra shop in Griffeen, Lucan at around 7:30pm on Tuesday.

The thugs held up hard working members of the shop who were doing their best to stock up the store for the rest of the night, Dublin Live reports.

Using the screwdriver, the gang managed to take a sum of cash before fleeing the scene on foot.

A gardahunt is now underway to find the pair as no arrests have been made so far.

A garda spokeswoman confirmed to Dublin Live that no injuries have been reported despite the frightening incident.
