Thugs steal cash and booze in Merchant City restaurant break-in

Police are appealing for witnesses after a break-in at a Glasgow restaurant this morning.

Swadish on Ingram Street was targeted at around 9.45am (Sunday, January 12).

Robbers made off with the till and a quantity of alcohol.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland received reports of a break in at an Ingram Street restaurant at around 10.45am this morning.

"Enquiries are ongoing."

Swadish has been closed today as a result of the break-in but will be open for business as usual tomorrow.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
