Detective Constable Gary Bruce said: “Deliberately setting fire is extremely reckless. The consequences could have been far more severe had this fire spread.

“Our enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity around the property late on Wednesday, 23 June is urged to come forward.

“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 0127 of 24 June, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
