Thugs slash Bristol police car's tyres as officers respond to incident

An appeal has been launched after thugs slashed a police car's tyres while officers were responding to an incident in Fishponds.

Two tyres were damaged on the vehicle, which was parked in Cassell Road, as an officer took a statement from a victim.

The incident happened sometime between 4.15pm and 5.30pm on Saturday, January 23.

Detectives have been scouring CCTV and conducting house-to-house enquiries to track down the vandals.

They are now urging witnesses to come forward.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesperson said: "We’re appealing for witnesses after a parked police car was damaged in Fishponds.
