Police have launched a probe after the terrifying incident happened in the Stockiemuir Road and Grampian Way area of Bearsden at around 12.30am on Saturday, June 5.

The 18-year-old was robbed of his wallet and required hospital treatment for a facial injury.

It is believed the suspects had been following him prior to the attack.

Detective Sergeant Laura Roberts of Govan Police Station said: “We are keen to trace two men involved in the incident.

"One is described as being 20-30 years of age and was wearing a dark puffa style jacket.

"We believe these men have followed the victim along Dumgoyne Drive and Stockiemuir Avenue prior to the incident.

“I would appeal to anyone who has private CCTV or dash cam footage to get in touch, you may have captured something that can assist our investigation.

“Anyone who has information that will assist enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting reference number 0261 of 5 June.

"Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
