Gardai are currently on the hunt for thieves responsible for breaking into and allegedly stealing money from Celbridge Church.
The thugs gained entry to the church in the early hours of Thursday morning before apparently ransacking the place for cash.
They are alleged to have stolen money from the collection boxes as well as change used for lighting candles among other places.
A spokesman for Gardai told Dublin Live that: "The intruders entered the church through a window. We are awaiting a full report on the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
