A thug who raped a sex worker just six weeks after arriving in the UK was caught by DNA evidence after he gave her a 'love bite'.
Romanian Zoro Banciu, 33, sobbed in the dock as a court heard how the victim "changed as a person" after his violent attack.
Bancie raped the woman before kicking and punching her and biting her neck after offering her £5 when she asked for a "tenner" after they had agreed to "do business".
The victim now has trouble sleeping and often wakes up in distress as she remembers what happened.
She told Manchester Crown Court she "will never understand why he had to be so violent to me that night."
The 'love bite' Banciu chose to give his helpless victim proved his downfall, as police were able to obtain crucial DNA evidence after she reported the horrendous attack.
The court heard the pair came into contact with each other in the early hours on a south Manchester street and the woman asked if he "wanted to do business".
Prosecutor Rachel Shenton told the court that Banciu replied that he did, and asked: "How much?"

She told him a "tenner", and they walked off together to an area behind a supermarket.
Banciu grabbed her hand, but she told him she wanted the money first.
The defendant handed over a £5 note, and said that was all he had.
The woman told Banciu: "It's not happening then."
It was then that Banciu became violent, kicking her in the crotch and punching her.
Banciu said: "I don't want to do this", before raping her.
The court heard the ordeal lasted for about six minutes. The woman immediately reported what had happened to Greater Manchester Police.
She suffered bruising and cuts to her neck.
The woman, who bravely faced her attacker in court to read out a statement, was also able to pick him out during a video identification procedure.
Banciu's DNA was recovered on swabs taken from the woman's neck after he gave her what was described in court as a 'love bite'.

Banciu, who had only arrived in the UK from his native Romania a few weeks before the attack, was jailed for six years and four months by Recorder Michael Hayton QC after he pleaded guilty to rape.
He was arrested at Liverpool Airport, where he was due to board a flight to London.
Prosecutors believe he was planning on then travelling back to Romania.
When interviewed by police, Banciu told officers that he regularly begs on the street, and that he sees sex workers two or three times a week.
He said he didn't know the victim and wasn't aware of committing an offence, but apologised.
The victim, who was in court for the sentencing, read out a statement from the witness box.
She said: "After this happened, it changed me as a person.
"I am not the same. I don't feel the same inside.
"It has had a terrible effect on my relationship with my boyfriend.
"I am having trouble sleeping at night. I wake up thinking about what happened.
"It's still very raw. I will never understand why he didn't let me walk off. I will never understand why he had to be so violent to me that night.
"I wish he had left me to walk off as I wanted to."

Ahmed Nadim, defending, said that Banciu was experiencing a 'heightened emotional state'.
The defendant sobbed during the hearing.
Mr Nadim said Banciu came to the UK about five or six weeks before the incident to 'improve his life' and to help his young family in Romania.
He said that Banciu worked and was also begging on the streets 'in order to supplement his income'.
Sentencing, Recorder Hayton QC told Banciu: "You used violence and sexual violence against a woman who you spoke to in the street.
"You came to an agreement about paying for sexual services.
"When a dispute arose as to how much you were going to pay, you carried on your intention to have sex with her, and you punched, kicked and bit her during that violent sexual assault.
"She not only had the courage to go to the authorities and complain about what you did, but also the courage to come to court to face you and read out her victim personal statement."
Banciu was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.
