Thug who attacked ex-girlfriend with Lucozade bottle wanted again

A former drug dealer who threatened and attacked the mother of his child is wanted by police.

Robert Dale is wanted on recall to prison after failing to appear at court. The 34-year-old, who previously lived in Stoneycroft, has spent time behind bars before, for sending his ex abusive texts and attacking her with a Lucozade bottle.

In 2015, an order was granted preventing Dale from using or threatening violence against his ex-girlfriend or coming within 100 yards of her home. However Liverpool Crown Court heard that he sent her a series of abusive texts, while discussing arrangements to see his son later that year.

Dale reportedly threatened: "I’m going to ruin your life," "watch what I do to you," and "every window in your house is going in." Then while on bail for those threats, he confronted her again, calling her a "grass" and a "rat."

Miss Egerton prosecuting said: "The defendant was holding a full bottle of Lucozade in his hand which he threw at her. It struck her stomach causing bruising and she fell forward and caught her elbow on a lamp-post."

Back in 2015, he admitted possession of cannabis with intent to supply, breaching a non-molestation order and common assault. The court also heard he had previous convictions including threatening behaviour, possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and theft.

Now Dale is wanted again on recall to prison after failing to appear at court. He is described as around 6ft 0.5in tall, slim build, blue eyes and short brown hair.

A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "If you see Robert Dale or hold any information please contact us via our social media @MerPolCC on Twitter or Facebook: Merseyside Police Contact Centre quoting reference 22000810840. You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their online form at: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information/give-information."
