Thug threatened to 'chew woman's face off' in horrific calls from prison

A man who called a woman to abuse and harass her from jail told her he was going to kill her two hours after he was released.

Sean Carrahar, 54, of HMP Altcourse, appeared for a plea hearing at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Thursday, December 29. Andrew Page, prosecuting, told the court the victim knew of Carrahar’s previous conviction for manslaughter, so took the threats of violence seriously.

A court heard how Carrahar used somebody else's phone to hurl abuse at the woman, who the ECHO has chosen not to name, over a two week period between June 30, and July 12. He threatened to “put her to sleep” and “chew her face off”, and called her a “dirty little “s***”.

Some of the calls made from prison were recorded and Mr Page read some transcripts of those recordings to the court.

On June 30, Carrahar was recorded on the phone saying the victim would “get another two days in the cellar before I end you” if she did not reveal the identity of a man he had allegedly seen her with.

He told her “you know I love you so that’s why I’m doing what I’m going to do to you”, and called her a “f****** prostitute”.

Carrahar also said men “will f*** you off because you’re not attractive, you’ve not got a nice body, you smell”.

On July 12, 38 calls were made to the victim, with none answered.

He was charged with one count of harassment and pleaded guilty on Thursday. Carrahar is currently being held in custody on an Imprisonment for Public Protection Order.

The case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court for sentencing on January 26 and he was further remanded into custody until sentencing.
