A thug threatened to rape police officers and their children after being arrested for harassing social workers and threatening to stab one in the eye.
Alan Brown hounded staff using a mobile phone paid for by the taxpayer-funded social work department.
When arrested over the harassment campaign, he claimed he would stab his social worker through the eye then went on to assault police officers.
The details emerged yesterday when Brown, 30, appeared in the dock at Ayr Sheriff Court.
He pled guilty to the three charges - making indecent, menacing or obscene phone calls, behaving in a threatening or abusive way towards police and assaulting officers by spitting at them.
The court heard he had bombarded South Ayrshire Council staff with abuse earlier this year.
The prosecutor explained: "He is provided with a prepaid mobile phone.
"The witnesses work for South Ayrshire Council Care Community Department.
"The accused makes numerous calls to the enquiry line asking to speak to his social worker on a daily basis.
"On January 27, 2021, he repeatedly called the enquiry line throughout the day, the calls were fielded by the three workers.
"His conduct consisted of shouting and swearing at the three witnesses and continued to make threats over numerous phone calls."
The police were called in and officers went to Brown's home in Ayr two days later.
He threatened to spit on the police sent to arrest him and threatened his social worker, saying: "I'll stab her through the eye when I get out."
Brown was taken to the police station and a spit mask was applied.
When the protective device was taken off, he assaulted two officers by spitting towards them.
While being held in police custody he repeatedly threatened to rape officers and their children.
Sheriff Desmond Leslie called for background reports to be prepared, adjourned sentencing until next month, and continued Brown’s bail.
