A thug left teeth marks on his mother’s forehead after biting her in an unprovoked attack.
Christian Stanford, 25, grabbed his mum Nicola and pulled her towards him before biting her in the head, a court heard.
Fiscal depute Andrew Harding told Perth Sheriff Court: “He attended his mother’s address. She had left the door unlocked as she was expecting him.
“For no apparent reason, he started shouting at her. He went for her by grabbing her head with one hand and raised his other hand into a clenched fist.
“He pulled her head towards him and bit her on the forehead. He was shouting the whole time that he was doing this. He then released his hold on her head and left the house. She took her opportunity to phone the police.
“There was a bite mark on her forehead which did not break the skin and she declined medical attention.”
Solicitor Jamie Baxter, defending, said: “He is not proud of this incident. He had been arguing with his mother and this occurred. They remain in contact.”
Stanford, from Perth, admitted assaulting Nicola Stanford by seizing her head, pulling her towards him and biting her head to her injury in Scone on August 17 last year.
Sheriff Gillian Wade told him: “It is a serious assault. I don’t know if you are taking it quite as seriously as you need to.”
She ordered Stanford to attend the Right Track programme for young offenders.
