A thug who kicked a cop on the head twice during an attack at University Hospital Monklands faces a further wait to discover his punishment.
Gary Cunningham assaulted the male officer at the Airdrie hospital on May 24.
During the same day, the brazen 31-year-old was also found to have produced Class B drug cannabis at his Kilsyth home.
Cunningham was due to be sentenced on both matters at Airdrie Sheriff Court earlier this month.
However, further information on Cunningham’s background was required.
This resulted in Sheriff Derek O’Carroll continuing proceedings until November 13 for a restriction of liberty assessment and criminal justice social work reports.
