Thug jumps out car and grabs man before robbing him in terrifying ordeal

A thug jumped out a car and robbed a man demanding cash and his phone in West Lothian.

A 23-year-old man was out walking when a black Ford Fiesta approached him before grabbing him in Mount Pleasant, Armadale.

Police are now investigating the terrifying ordeal which happened on Mount Pleasant on Monday around 12.30pm.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early 20s, around 5'8" in height with dark hair.

He was wearing a red t-shirt, light-grey tracksuit top, dark tracksuit bottoms and red trainers.

Detective Constable David McDougall, of Livingston CID, said: "We're appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident, or has any information at all about it, to please contact us.

"Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 1728 of 17 August, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
