Thug jailed for five months after threatening to rape police officers' mothers and attempting to headbutt them

He is Goodwill by name but not by nature.

And Jordan Goodwill’s lack of basic consideration for others earned him five months in jail.

Ayr Sheriff Court heard Goodwill, 22, was already on an Asbo when police answered a noise complaint against him.

He was playing loud music at 1.30am on Sunday, December 22, at his home in Park Crescent, Dalmellington.

There was no answer at the door and the racket continued.

Police finally got an answer around 2am and Goodwill immediately showed plenty of ill will.

“He was verbally abusive and aggressive,” said depute fiscal Lindzi Bayne.

“He made comments that he would rape the officers’ mothers and he tried to headbutt them.

“He called them pig b******* and kicked at the police vehicle.”

Ms Bayne said that a cell van had to be called to cage Goodwill.

Defence lawyer John Gallagher said Goodwill took full responsibility for his actions and accepted that his behaviour was “totally uncalled for”.

The lawyer asked for a community-based sentence, saying Goodwill was “a young man with a limited record”.

But Sheriff Ross Macfarlane QC pointed to the social work report on Goodwill.

“It says you’re immature and lacking in consequential thinking,” said the sheriff.

“It also refers to your binge drinking.”

He told the accused: “You’re on an Asbo, police turn up, and you threaten to rape their mothers.

“I sentence you to five months in custody, reduced from seven due to your guilty plea.”

Goodwill’s immaturity showed when he seemed to snigger at the jail sentence given to him.

And he turned round with a smirk on his face, as if looking for a relative in the public seats.
