A thug has been jailed after launching a brutal two-minute attack on two strangers after one refused to give him his takeaway food.
CCTV footage shows Paul Lipano and five friends entering a lift with the victims in a Sydney hotel before he starts assaulting them as the lift travelled 14 flights.
One man can be seen shoving one victim against the wall by his neck while Lipano punches him in the head - sparking two minutes of chaos in the cramped Meriton Suites lift - during which Lipano continues to batter the pair.
Lipano's mates then drag him from the lift, before he can be seen charging back in, picking up the victim's takeaway food and lobbing it all over them.
The group then begin to leave before Lipano runs back in again and unleashes another barrage of punches, following which the doors close and the victims are left with ripped clothes, covered in food and consoling each other.
When police arrived to subdue Lipano, he reportedly lashed out at the officers while yelling 'f*** the police, f*** the system', according to court reports.
Following the attack at around 3am on June 30, Lipano pleaded guilty to charges of affray, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and resisting an officer in the line of duty.
On Tuesday he was sentenced to three years' prison with a non-parole period of 19 months, according to the Daily Mail .
The non-parole period was reportedly reduced due to drug and anger problems, as well as low intelligence.
The court heard Lipano had struggled with substance abuse since he was 15 and was said to have been affected by cannabis, alcohol and ice at the time of the attack.
It is unclear whether anyone else was charged or convicted in connection with the attack.
