Thug grabbed man by throat at children's playpark as cops hunt suspect

Cops are hunting a thug who grabbed a man by the throat in a children's playpark.

The drama unfolded at the playpark behind Springbank Terrace, Meethill, Peterhead, Aberdeenshire on Sunday 22.

A 30-year-old man had been in the playpark when he was attacked by a man who grabbed his throat and pushed him.

It's understood the incident took place around 4pm in the day.

The suspect is described as white, 6ft roughly in height, dark short hair and appeared to be in his 30’s.

He is said to have had tattoos on his arm and was wearing a T-shirt and joggers.

Constable Victoria Mitchell of the Peterhead Community Policing Team said “Thankfully the victim did not sustain any injuries and enquiries into this are ongoing and we urge anyone who witnessed this incident to please get in touch”.
