Thug gang rips teen girl's hair out in brutal attack

Shocking footage shows the moment a teenage girl had "lumps of her hair" ripped out by a thug gang in Dublin city centre.

The 15-year-old victim was attacked while she was walking into Temple Bar from the Ha'Penny Bridge on Saturday evening.

The girl was pushed to the ground before she is kicked and punched from all angles, Dublin Live reported.

Up to ten people piled into the melee with the poor girl caught at the bottom.

Up to ten people jumped then piled on the poor girl.

The victim suffered a bad concussion, and severe bruising from the assault according to a source close to the teen.

She was rushed to Temple Street Children's Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

"She’s okay now, she’s bruised and lumps all over her head, her eye is swollen and her neck is very sore," she said.

"They took lumps of her hair out. They gave her a bad concussion - but it could have been a lot worse.

"The family just wants to get this out. We can’t believe it happened.

"It’s a horrible world out there."

Gardai told Dublin Live: "Gardai are investigating an incident of assault which occurred in Temple Bar Square at approximately 10:30pm, 5 June 2021.

"A female juvenile teen was taken to Temple Street Children’s Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Enquiries are ongoing."
