A thug clutching a 'bag full of Stella' beat up his ex-girlfriend and threatened her with a knife after she was late to a farewell meeting.
Dario Rebac, 38, had been 'drinking cans' and was '4/10 drunk' when he summoned his former partner to her flat on April 26 as he had arrived to pick up his multi-cooker and pots and pans.
On her way back, she stopped to buy a Big Mac meal from McDonald's.

When she arrived at the flat, she found furious Rebac on a bench outside.
An argument began, before the father-of-three demanded to know where she had been.
He grabbed her by the throat and pushed her against the wall of a communal lift.

Inside the apartment, Rebac locked the door, grabbed her by the throat again and threatened her with a kitchen knife during an hour-long ordeal.
Police were called when she managed to get onto her balcony and alert a passer-by.
The woman was taken to hospital, where she was treated for bruising to the face, bleeding to an eye, abrasions to her cornea and soft tissue damage to the head.
Rebac, from Stockport, was jailed for 19 months after he admitted assault and criminal damage at Minshull Street Crown Court last Friday (December 17).
The court heard the couple had been dating for five weeks. He moved in within two days of them meeting.

Prosecuting, Kelly Cyples, said: "The victim said the relationship was good for the first couple of weeks, but he could drink heavily and used cocaine and steroids.
"After two weeks the defendant slapped her to the head and pulled her by the hair from the living room to the kitchen as well as kicking her causing her reddening as a result of that assault.
"As a result of the assault, the victim left her property and went to a friend's house. But when she returned her clothing and shoes had been slashed by a kitchen knife.
"After five weeks, the relationship with this defendant ended. He packed his bags and left.
"On 26 April this year, she received a phone call from the defendant in the afternoon. He said he was at her flat and needed somewhere to wait for money.
"She was in Cheshire at the time and said she would be a few hours before she would be able to come back.
"She made her way home and whilst buying a MacDonald’s, she received a number of abusive phone calls from the defendant asking where she was.
"When she arrived the defendant was sitting outside on the bench. He called her a 'f****** b****' because she had taken so long.
"He had a bag full of Stella with him.
"They walked into the foyer and entered the lift. He continued to complain to her for making him wait.
"He then aggressively grabbed by the throat and pushed her against the lift wall.

"Once out of the lift, he promised there would be no further assaults and she let the defendant into her flat. But he then locked the door behind her, pushed her into the living room becoming aggressive once more.
"He told her she was going nowhere, and was pushing her and grabbing her by the throat.
"He knelt on her, grabbed her and pushed her. He briefly picked up a kitchen knife and was threatening with it. The victim believed the incident lasted for around an hour.
"She managed to escape to the balcony and alerted a member of the public on the street.
"She said that she had been assaulted and was trying to convince the member of the public to call the police, whereas the defendant was trying to say there was no reason for them to contact the police.
"The passer-by did end up phoning the police who attended at the scene.
"The defendant later said he was waiting for money to be transferred into his account but he was also waiting at the address to collect his property including a TV, a ninja cooker and pots and pans.

"He said he had been drinking cans and was a 4/10 drunk. He said he was not happy she took much longer to arrive than he wanted her to take.
"But at the time he denied assaulting her. He said he had pushed her in the lift because he was in a hurry.
"He asked for his property and he said she poured beer all over herself and used the beer can to cause an injury to herself as well as whacking and hitting herself.
"He denied assaulting her in anyway or causing any damage to the flat."
Rebac, of Lincoln Towers, Stockport, who has been in custody since his arrest, has eight previous offences on his record, including criminal damage, common assault, harassment and possessing an offensive weapon.
Defending Rebac, Ian McMeekin, said: "He has had time to reflect. There is a good side to this man and he can make good for himself.
"He hopes to put his life back on track. He is remorseful and regrets his actions and is determined to change his ways."
Sentencing, Judge John Potter told Rebac: "Two weeks after you moved in, you assaulted [the woman] after an argument pulling her hair and pushing her to the floor and kicking her.

"Your victim suffered reddening to that attack upon her. She left the flat and you responded in a fit of anger slashing her clothes with a kitchen knife. You then contacted your victim at a time when she was in Cheshire.
"You rang her and asked her to go to her flat where you were waiting to talk to her about some money. You were angry when she returned because she had not returned sooner.
"You subjected her to a further unlawful attack in which you were strangling and striking your victim. Such behaviour continues when you went into her flat. You locked the door, pushed her and grabbed her by the throat.
"You knelt on her, pushed and slapped her and told her she was not leaving. At some point you picked up a knife. Your victim shouted from the balcony outside for help.
"The police were called and the incident came to an end. Her injuries you caused includes bruising to her face, blood within her eye and soft tissue injuries to her face and head.
"You had drunk alcohol and the attack occurred at the home of the victim. This was a domestic violence incident of which there was more than offence on more than one occasion. Only immediate custody is appropriate to you as these offences are so serious."
Rebac was banned from contacting the woman indefinitely under the terms of a restraining order.
