Hardworking gardai caught an armed man with cash on him in a stolen car just minutes after he threatened staff and fled the scene of a Dublin robbery with money.
The young man, in his late 20s, was arrested in relation to the robbery of a petrol station in Clondalkin on Tuesday afternoon.
At around 4pm, the man entered the shop and used a screwdriver to threaten staff, demanding that they empty out the shop till.
He fled the scene with a sum of money in a car which was later discovered just a short distance away by Gardai.
The vehicle - which was later found out to be stolen - was seized and the cash and weapon recovered as the man was arrested.
Thankfully, nobody in the shop was injured during the horrific ordeal.
