Thug breaks into Edinburgh pharmacy stealing large haul of drugs

A thug has broken into an Edinburgh pharmacy and stole a huge amounts of drugs.

The yob ran off with thousands of tablets after sneaking into the store on Home Street earlier today, May 25.

The robbery happened at around 6am as the person snatched diazepam, metrazapin, and olanzapine.

Officers from Police Scotland are urging people not to consume medication which doesn't belong to them.

Detective Sergeant Ross Nicol, based at Gayfield CID, said: "We're appealing to anyone who has any information about the break-in, noticed suspicious behaviour or someone suddenly potentially selling a large quantity of tablets to contact us."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 0482 of 25 May 2020 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
