A thug started a “terrible” domestic abuse campaign against his girlfriend just days after meeting her on dating app Tinder.
Brad Ferguson, 23, assaulted Morgan Boyd even after he had appeared in court charged with abusing her.
He grabbed, bit, threatened and controlled Morgan, from Greenock, and also ridiculed the mum of one in front of his friends and family.
The brute was blasted by a sheriff as “manipulative and controlling” when he was sentenced on Friday.
Ferguson previously pled guilty at Paisley Sheriff Court to engaging in a course of conduct which was abusive of his partner between March and August.
In one attack in her home, he grabbed her by the throat and bit her ear.
Sheriff David Pender fined Ferguson £1500 and ordered him to pay £1000 in compensation to Morgan and a £75 victim surcharge.
He also banned him from having any contact with her for the next five years.
