Throwback Tuesday: Hue Jackson was fired one year ago today

One year ago today, the Cleveland Browns altered the course of the franchise, firing head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley.

The move to depose Jackson, who had compiled a 3-36-1 record in two-plus seasons, was wildly popular with fans and well received by most of the media as well.

Gregg Williams took over as the interim head coach. One of the ancillary moves was to promote little-known Freddie Kitchens to offensive coordinator. Kitchens was previously the running backs coach.

Jackson and Haley both remain out of work. Williams is now the defensive coordinator for the New York Jets. Kitchens, of course, is the head coach of the Browns.
